The original church dated from the times before the Hussite Wars and it was rebuilt as a funeral chapel of Jan Smisek and his son Krystof, the owners of Hradek in Kutna Hora. In 1817 was the roof of the tower struck by a lightning and burnt and later restored with a low pyramidal roof frame, the roconstruction to its original gothic shape was curie out by the architect Ludvík Lábler.
